Job Description:

We currently have an opening on our team for a Documentation Support Analyst who will support the software development life cycle of a Navy training system by maintaining and improving applicable system documentation. This position will work with management to identify and recommend best practices in document management. The position will also be responsible for project status reporting and trouble ticket management. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to prioritize by order of importance. The ability to work within a team environment with strong self-motivating and self-directing is also an important attribute.

Desired Qualifications: High School diploma and 2 years of related experience.

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creation and maintenance of Interface Control documents and agreements, memorandums of understanding and agreement, system views, architecture documents, and other applicable documentation.

  • Timely review of documents and requirements to ensure they are complete and compliant with specification requirements for submission to client.

  • Identify inconsistency and gaps in document workflow process, requirements, or formats, and communicate findings to the team for improvements.

  • Develop an overall understanding of the system and project.

  • Assist in preparing reports as requested by management.

  • Maintain or update existing documentation.

  • Process system trouble tickets and route to the appropriate Tier II analyst for resolution.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 2010/2016.

  • Proven experience in document management.

  • Familiarity with Interface Control documents and agreements, memorandums of understanding and agreement, system views, architecture documents, and other applicable documentation.

Desired Skills

  • Experience creating work flows and documentation using Visio.

  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle and Agile development principles.

  • Working knowledge of the BMC Remedy Enterprise Information Technology Service Management system.
